Garden Maintenance, Backed by Horticultural Expertise

One-Off or Ongoing Garden Maintenance

Blue Iris Landscapes offers private garden maintenance as either a one-off visit or an ongoing regular service.

A one-off visit is ideal for seasonal jobs, garden clearances, hedge cutting, pruning or bringing an established garden back under control. It’s also a good choice for clients who enjoy looking after their own garden but would appreciate an extra pair of experienced hands at busier times of the year.

Our regular garden maintenance service provides planned weekly or fortnightly visits throughout the year, with the work adjusted to suit the garden and the season. It works particularly well for busy professionals who simply don’t have the time to maintain everything.

It is equally well suited to retired clients who have always taken pride in their garden but would now welcome some regular help with the more demanding jobs. You can continue to enjoy the parts of gardening you love, while our team takes care of the lawns, hedges, pruning and seasonal maintenance.

Whichever option you choose, our approach remains personal and centred around you. We want to help you create a garden that feels well cared for and enjoyable to spend time in, whether you are relaxing quietly, pottering between the borders or sharing the space with friends and family.

How Our Garden Maintenance Service Works

We begin with a free, in-person consultation at your property, giving us the opportunity to look around the garden, discuss your priorities and identify the work that would be most helpful.

This allows us to recommend the most suitable approach, whether you require a one-off visit or regular weekly or fortnightly maintenance.

Initial Conversation

A brief call to discuss your garden and schedule a site visit.

Site Visit
& Quote

A visit to assess the garden, followed by a no-obligation written quote.

Setting the Schedule

Regular visits arranged — typically weekly or fortnightly (or one off visits).

Additional Support

Any work outside your agreed maintenance plan is discussed and quoted separately before being arranged.

Once the service is in place, we manage the garden with care, consistency and an understanding of seasonal growth. We monitor the condition of lawns, borders, hedges and planting, completing work at the right time and raising anything that may need additional attention.

You can feel confident that your garden is being looked after properly, by reliable expert gardeners with professional equipment to ensure a quality job.

“The best gardens are ones you can relax in, entertain and be proud to show off to friends and family.

We ensure that you are able to do this!”

Private Garden Maintenance FAQs

Yes. One-off visits are ideal for seasonal work, garden clearances, hedge cutting, pruning or bringing an established garden back under control.

They also suit clients who enjoy looking after their own garden but need experienced help with larger, heavier or more time-consuming jobs.

Most gardens are maintained weekly or fortnightly, depending on how quickly they grow and what each client requires.

If it’s left longer than that, things tend to build up — lawns lose consistency, planting moves ahead, and small issues become more noticeable. Fortnightly visits are our reccommendation, so that you’re not dealing with changes as they happen.

Yes. Lawn feed and weed treatments can be included where appropriate.

We will first assess the condition of the lawn, including weed growth, moss, soil condition and areas of poor growth. Any recommended treatment will form part of a lawn-care plan.

We can assist with pond clearance and general pond maintenance, including removing excessive vegetation, fallen leaves and accumulated organic material.

The scope of the work will depend on the size and condition of the pond. Where wildlife may be present, the work will need to be planned carefully and carried out at a suitable time of year. Specialist repairs, pumps or filtration work may require a separate contractor.

We provide a range of tree services and can advise when a tree requires further assessment.

Where a formal tree survey, safety inspection or arboricultural report is needed, we can arrange for the tree to be assessed by an appropriately qualified specialist. Larger tree works will be quoted separately from routine garden maintenance.

If we identify growth that may be Japanese knotweed, we will not cut, dig up or dispose of it as part of normal garden maintenance.

We will explain the concern and recommend a specialist survey so that the plant can be formally identified and an appropriate management plan prepared. Specialist Japanese knotweed advice, surveys and treatment are available through our wider group.

Not usually. Once access arrangements and the agreed maintenance programme are in place, our team can often carry out scheduled visits without you being present.

Any access instructions, locked gates, pets or security requirements should be discussed with us in advance.

Cost depends on the size of the garden, how detailed it is, how often it’s maintained, and how quickly different areas grow.

After a site visit, you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s involved and what’s needed to keep the garden at the standard you expect.

If you’d like an outdoor space you can simply use and enjoy, we can take care of the rest.
