Q. How much does a gardener cost?
A. We charge £35 an hour per gardener. This provides you with a qualified team who use professional equipment, including mowers to give customary stripes you would see on football pitches. Our team members also have the plant knowledge that enables them to prune shrubs as per their individual requirements. Due to the level of experience our team has, and the quality of our equipment, we have found that we can complete the same amount of work that other gardeners do in half the time, making us excellent value for money.
Q. How do I find a good landscape gardener?
A. When looking for a landscape gardener, you should look for a competitive price, proof of their previous work being of a high quality and a range of positive feedback from previous customers. At Blue Iris Landscapes, we have a policy of giving our best price first so you can guarantee that any price you receive from us is the very best we can offer.

Our whole business is based on providing a high quality service and a high quality product, and we would be unhappy leaving a job that we were not 100% happy with ourselves. This has resulted in our waiting list growing and, as a result, a lot of our customers book work with us months in advance, instead of opting for a company that has imminent availability. We believe the fact that our customers are willing to wait for their work to be completed is a reflection of the standard of our work and their opinion of us as a company.
Q. What is the process of hiring a gardener?
A. Each gardening company will have a slightly different process when quoting for the work you require and then commencing an agreement. At Blue Iris Landscapes, our process is as follows:
To allow us to achieve a better understanding of both your preferences and your garden, our qualified surveyor will first complete a site visit. During this visit, we will meet with you to discuss your future plans for your property and garden and to ascertain what will be required to quote for your project or garden maintenance.
Once our surveyor completes the site visit, we will provide you with a full detailed quote within two working days. Your comprehensive quote will be tailored to your specific needs and requirements. When you decide to proceed with the work, we simply ask you to complete an Agreement to Works form and pay your deposit if one is due. We can then get you booked in and inform you of your expected start date!
Q. How much does a site visit for gardening cost?
A. We offer our site visits at no cost, with no obligation!
Q. How often do I need gardeners?
How often you need a garden maintenance visit depends upon the maintenance requirements of your individual garden, including its size. At Blue Iris Landscapes, we offer a weekly or fortnightly option for our regular maintenance customers. We also offer a one-off gardening service for a minimum of 7 man hours. When you commence with our regular garden maintenance service, we would initially prioritise jobs to achieve a general tidy up of the garden over a period of visits. This would allow us to bring your garden up to the high standard that we aim to achieve. The visits going forward from this would be aiming at maintaining that quality, to make your garden look fantastic all year round
Q. How much is a personalised CAD?
A. Our minimum cost is £800.00 plus VAT for a bespoke CAD design, this cost will be deducted from the final invoice if you proceed with us for your landscaping project. Each design is personalised to the clients’ requirements, taking into consideration the size of the garden and the complexity required. For a standard 3D garden design, we would estimate a cost of £1,000.00. Our most recent project evolved in to a £8,000.00 plus VAT CAD design.
Q.Where can I see some of your previous work?

Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
A. This would depend on the size and requirements of the project. If possible, we aim to accommodate a visit for a garden survey within two working days.
You should receive your personalised quote within two working days post site visit. After receipt of this, the practical work will be booked in for the following fortnight for regular garden maintenance and it will take two to four weeks for one off maintenance works to be booked in. Please note during certain seasons, there may be an exception to this due to high volumes of projects.
Whereas our popular landscaping and design services can book up quickly due to the high-quality service we provide, so we do recommend you book in advance approximately 6 months prior. On average projects are usually completed within three to six months from the initial consultation.
