Stoke-on-Trent Gardener

For this project, our customer was a couple who were looking to renovate a property they had purchased.

This customer initially contacted us asking for a quotation for one-off maintenance via Blue Iris Landscapes. Our lead surveyor attended for a site visit and was able to explore different options and offer advice relating to the trees on their property.

Due to our surveyor’s expertise relating to trees, they then contacted the client manager to ask if we would be able to complete a Tree Survey and Arboricultural Impact Assessment of the entire property as this was required for them to meet the planning conditions of a development they were proposing. The client manager confirmed that this could be done via our sister company, ProHort.

As is best practice, ProHort arranged to carry out the tree survey, ahead of any tree work taking place. The tree survey identified several trees and hedgerows that required maintenance and several others that were not fitting for the site. The tree survey suggested replacement trees that could be planted to create a more aesthetically pleasing garden. The Arboricultural Impact Assessment made recommendations for best practice methods when completing tree work on site, specific to that site.

Regular Garden MaintenanceOnce the tree survey had been completed, the team from Blue Iris Landscapes carried out some maintenance work on the hedges and the trees on site, following the recommendations from ProHort’s Arboricultural Method Statement when required. By having both services completed by our sister companies, the on-site teams were able to pass site specific information between themselves, to ensure a high-quality, bespoke service was always offered.

If you are looking to have landscaping carried out on your garden, please be aware it could affect existing trees on your property, for more information click here.
